What is your return policy? TOP
We want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase, for this reason, we ask you to send us an email within five (5) days of receiving your package. Let us know that you wish to return your purchase, (you do not have to give a reason), and we will send you instructions on returning the purchase. We only ask that you return the purchase in the same condition as received; tags still attached, same packaging material, unworn and paid shipping and insurance. As soon as we receive your package and check to be sure it is the same as when it was sent, we will notify paypal.com to credit your account. It is very important that you follow these instructions as stated, after five (5) days, and no response from you, the sale is final.
Do you ever offer coupons? TOP
Yes we do offer coupons, in fact we are offering a coupon now for our Grand Opening. You will see it on the front page of our web site. We will be offering coupons from time to time, for special events.
Do you ever offer free shipping? TOP
We will regularly offer free domestic shipping for purchases over $150.00, and now shipping is free for our Grand Opening.
Do you repair jewelry? TOP
We do repair jewelry you have purchased from us, without charge if materials or workmanship fails. If your jewelry had "an accident", and you want it repaired, there will be a fee for materials, labor, return shipping and insurance. If you have a piece of jewelry repaired, that you purchased elsewhere, if you will send us an email (a picture would be great), and explain what happened, what kind of jewelry (crystals, gemstones, forged, formed, etc) and what you think needs to be repaired, we will send you an email with an estimate of the repair cost, plus shipping and insurance for the return.
If I sign up for your newsletter, will you keep my email address private? TOP
We do not like spam, and we do not want to be the responsible party for someone else receiving spam. We will not sell or supply your email address to anyone! You will receive an email from Rimba Raya Jewels, when we have new products, a sale or other special event we think might be of interest to you.
How can I place an order? TOP
You can place an order using paypal.com, but you do not need an account to shop with us. Paypal is the safest way to shop on the Internet! We do not want the responsibility of having your credit information on our web site, it is as simple as that. There are too many hackers out there in cyberspace, just waiting on an opportunity, to commit a crime and steal someone's identity. We do not want to provide an opportunity for that to occur. Paypal has built-in layers of security, and to my knowledge, has never been compromised! Where do you get the materials you use in the jewelry? TOP
We have been fortunate to be able to travel to Brazil and purchase gemstones from the mining region. We also have several reputable vendors here, in the US, from whom we purchase, and we also make purchases from select vendors at gem shows. We make our selections from the best gemstone material available. We do not use plated Silver or Gold wire or findings, and with exception of a few pieces, (that have been sold), we do not use manufactured glass crystal beads. We prefer to work with the beautiful gemstones that are found in the Earth, in the oceans or on the ground. These are the Earth's gifts to us, to enjoy and treasure.
Do you do custom design work? TOP
We would be delighted to make your ideas a reality, if possible. If you have an idea you would like to see materialize, please send an email explaining what you have in mind, and a contact number where you can be reached. On custom orders, you will receive an estimate of the total cost of the project, and pay 50% of the cost before the project is started.
Why is the rainforest a part of your store? TOP
Our name, Rimba Raya means rain forest in Indonesian, and I wanted to draw attention to the plight of the rainforests of the world.
I have been concerned about the loss of land in the world's rainforest regions since I began college and learned their importance for our survival. My concerns grew deeper, when I began teaching children and teens Geography, and I learned how little they knew about these important regions.
Once you enter a rainforest and see the magnificence of the plants, trees and animals, you feel like you are on hallowed ground. It is really difficult to explain the feeling that surrounds you. Magnificent is the only word I can think of to use. It is beautiful beyond belief and almost takes your breath away. The size of the trees makes you realize how small you are in the scope of what surrounds you. To see these regions disappear, brings great sadness. We have to do something to stop the destruction, and we have to do it now! I decided to "appoint" Murphy, my Congo African Grey Parrot, spoke's bird for the rainforests. He will keep you advised on what is happening globally, and what you can do to help save these wonderfully important regions of the world. We are contributing 10 % of our profits to the Save the rainforests project.
The survival of the Earth's rainforest is vital for our survival as human beings. Far to long we, the people of the world, have ignored the vast problems that have been bringing about the demise of these important ecosystems. We depend on these forests; to clean our air, provide plants to cure us when we are sick and decorate our homes and gardens when we are well, provide a habitat for all of the wonderful animals we enjoy seeing, and in some cases provide our pet bird children. Please help save these beautiful regions of our world.
